Liverpool Slush’D

What an honour it was to shoot the inaugural Slush’D event in Liverpool in my first year of returning to Liverpool but it was their first event in the UK. Slush’D events are a series of carefully curated smaller events that take place around "Slush" - the landmark tech startup conference which takes place in late November in Helsinki, Finland every year.

Much like Slush itself, the Liverpool event focused on tech founders - and everything that supports their start up profile and to be the best they can be. As I stood right in front of the by the stage, I was absolutely blown away, by the guest speakers. I even absorbed a few insightful tidbits myself.

Slush’D events have a definite ethos and that is a celebration of entrepreneurship and all things tech startup from the Liverpool City Region.

My brief was to capture the energy and atmosphere of the conversation and grab a super informal portrait of each speaker individually or in their panel groups. Deep in the heart of the Baltic Triangle, next to Cains Brewery, the event took place in Content, Liverpool there was no end of background options around and behind the building. Check out some of the urban textures!! I think it was a perfect place to hold a conference.

I’m very happy to be given a brief and then left to navigate through a tight schedule or equally have a quick headshot in the office. Either way, my style is super informal when needed and always effective, professional, and efficient.
