Liverpool Dinner Club Does Eurovision

So it’s pretty likely by now we all know that Liverpool’s BACK, Baby!!! I think we always knew Liverpool is low key brilliant. Such a formidable and welcoming city, but now more than ever, with the success of hosting Eurovision 2023, there’s lots to celebrate!

I spent many evenings last week walking around the Eurovision Village basking in the glorious weather and diving into the sea of many happy faces. Being a local Liverpool photographer it made me so happy to see all the famous landmarks shrouded with tourists and flags from countries all around the world. It definitely feels like I’ve found my forever happy place all over again!!!

Anyway, more to the point, since moving up north, I’ve made some amazing relationships. Networking events are absolutely integral to creating a presence for my Liverpool photography studio and are a solid part of my social life too. What could be more joyful than meeting new people who all have the same work ethic as me!!!

Last month, James, the founder of Liverpool Dinner Club, a networking organisation attended one of my regular Chamber business breakfast meetings. He spoke passionately about their imminent not for profit charity drive in tandem with Eurovision, with all profits going to Strawberry Fields Charity and the Liverpool branch of The Ukranian community in Great Britain. It was the perfect salute to the city’s celebrations.

I wanted in and in I got…… James, Lee, and Bella welcomed me into the fold immediately and updated me all about the night. Hosted at 360 Sky Bar an impressive venue where the event was to be held, we discussed the two benefactors of Strawberry Fields and Association Ukrainians in Great Britain. I haven’t seen it yet but there’s a Ukrainian Peace Monument at Strawberry Fields that bonds the two organisations together, however, the monument will eventually go back to Ukraine when it’s safe to take him home.

And so the evening was an incredible success. Over £2000 was raised for the two charities and a huge amount of pride was seen on everyone’s faces. I absolutely loved chatting with a few of the companies telling them not only am I a great local corporate photographer but also an invaluable headshot photographer in Liverpool too. Look out for some of the sponsors like Chris from Strawberry Fields, the team at one of Liverpool’s finest institutions, The Liverpool Empire Theatre, the team at The Liverpool Chamber, the recent Mayor of Liverpool, Roy Gladden and his wife Roz and of course Clockwise, the leading providers of serviced offices in Liverpool and Connor at Doing Liverpool who made me smile from start to finish!!!

Let me know if you have an event covering like this as we know how important it is to celebrate the wins of life with quality footage.
