Baltic Ventures Makes Their Move on Liverpool

It was a super bright blue sky day and I was off to another fantastic networking event at the glorious Seton Park Palm House to listen to Jo Fairley, the original founder of Green & Black’s. I was invited by my new all women networking group, Pink Link Ladies who’d planned to be there as guests so I jumped right in to experience all of the above in one morning.

With ample time for networking in between speakers, I met Becca and Rachel from Baltic Ventures, a powerful platform for entrepreneurs to gain access and guidance from mentors and financiers who are striving to be the best in Digital Tech. We discovered we all worked in the Baltic Triangle under the umbrella of the Baltic CIC and agreed on how incredible and accessible it was to meet like minded women in Liverpool who were keen to support and grow their network.

Now, I know I’m throwing in a lot of names, places and links here but I can’t tell you how exciting it was for me to land in a city and reestablish myself only to meet gorgeous women who supported me so soon after that rather serendipitous day.

Becca and Rachel have since trusted me to cover the Baltic Ventures soft launch and more recently, their official launch last month at Content, another super cool music venue made from repurposed shipping containers within The Cains Brewery Village. Now I don't want to totally blow my own trumpet here but just to set the scene, my studio is right in the heart of The Baltic Triangle where the huge red brick Cains building sits proudly as the center point amongst so many independent small creative businesses. Some are new like myself and Baltic Ventures and some are more established but what I can tell you is this small piece of Liverpool will no doubt become the most talked about creative space in Liverpool very soon.

Whilst listening to the guest speakers, even I was excited by the panel’s vision for the potential of Liverpool being the new Silicon Valley of the UK. I must be part of this energy, I kept saying to myself!! The rebirth of Liverpool’s tech revolution is right here and happening now with the guidance of this incredible melting pot of influential leaders in the field of technology. There were literally hundreds of applicants glued to their seats and furiously taking notes whilst listening to the inspirational speakers.

The atmosphere was palpable!!!! Not to mention delicious!! Another brilliant Liverpool catering company. Their delicious grazing table from Burnt Orange kept the guests queuing up for a delicious pan of traditional Scouse and Red Cabbage!!! There were future candidates and mentors mingling for hours, I believe.

Needless to say, I'm very proud to have been selected to work on their official launch event and I can’t wait to be back shooting their 1 day Bootcamp workshop this weekend. Can you tell, I’m so excited for them!!! Anyway, here are a few of my favourite images from their incredible night.
